Wedding vendors includes photographers, make up artists, DJs, venues, officiants, catering, and florists among others. To determine the average costs of these vendors, we surveyed different online wedding planning websites and platforms, as well as consulted with industry professionals. The data collected from these sources is based on weddings held in the United States in 2022 and is projected to be consistent with prices in 2023.


Catering: Food and drinks are one of the most significant expenses in a wedding budget, after all, everyone's gotta eat right? Catering for 100 guests is $10,000. The price can vary depending on the type of food and drinks provided.


Photography and videography: The average cost for photography and videography is $4,000. Pricing varies and depends on how long the shoot takes and how many photographers is needed for the shoot.


Floral arrangements: Adding a beautiful touch of femininity to your wedding can be expensive. The average cost for floral arrangements is $3,000. Prices depend on type of flowers, amount, and location.


Music: The average cost to hire a DJ is $2,000. Pricing depends on length of service, location, and equipment needed.


Wedding planner: A wedding planner is a smart hire especially to significantly reduce stress that is associated with planning. The average cost for a wedding planner is $3,000. Pricing depends on what services are included.


Venue: The average cost for a wedding venue is $6,000. Pricing is location and sized based.


Miscellaneous expenses: Invitations, transportation, and favors. The average cost for these miscellaneous expenses is $3,000.


When all these costs are added up, the average cost of a wedding in 2023 is estimated to be around $31,000. However, it's important to note that this is just an average, and weddings can cost significantly more or less depending on the couple's preferences and location.
